The Finutra team had the pleasure of participating in the 2023 Vitafoods exhibition. After three years, we reunited with many valued customers, and it was great to see how everyone has grown and evolved in their business endeavors.

We’re thrilled to announce that we will be exhibiting at CPhI Shanghai 2023, one of the most prestigious pharmaceutical events in the world. This three-day event will take place in the vibrant city of Shanghai, showcasing the latest advancements and innovations in the pharmaceutical industry.

In a new pilot study, published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, researchers aimed to investigate the antioxidant benefits of lycopene, but specifically, how they stacked up against tomato powder, a tomato supplement closer to its whole food origin which contains not only lycopene but a broader profile of micronutrients and various bioactive components.

Overall, the 2023 Vitafoods exhibition was a great success for the Finutra team. We left feeling energized and more motivated than ever to continue pushing the boundaries in the nutrition industry.

“Most of our member companies wanted to stay open, and were staying open under the assumption that they were a part of either the food sector or the health care sector,” said Steve Mister, president and CEO of the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), in an interview. “What this does is it makes it clear. So if someone from state law enforcement should show up and ask, 'Why are you open?’ they can directly point to the CISA guidance.”
Mister added, “When the first round of this memo came out, we were pretty confident that we would be included by inference … but it didn’t expressly say dietary supplements. You kind of had to read between the lines to read us into it.”
