Belarus possesses a unique geographical advantage with vast forest reserves and diverse marshlands, providing a rich source of raw biomass. However, the local manufacturing sector for nutritional supplements has historically relied on traditional maceration techniques, which often struggle to maintain the potency of volatile herbs extract required for modern pharmaceutical-grade nutraceuticals.
The economic landscape in Belarus is currently shifting toward high-value added food processing. There is a growing demand for standardized plant extract powder that can be easily integrated into capsule and tablet production lines, reducing the reliance on crude liquid extracts that complicate the stability of the final product.
Furthermore, the alignment with European quality standards (E-E-A-T) is becoming a priority for Belarusian exporters. This has led to an increased adoption of supercritical CO2 extraction and membrane filtration to ensure that every batch of grass extract is free from solvents and contaminants, meeting strict safety profiles.
